Mas de Pellejo is a totally sustainable and self-sufficient accommodation (off-grid), we promote an eco-responsible rural tourism style, promoting the natural and cultural values of our environment.
We have a photovoltaic solar installation with an accumulation system to ensure our self-consumption of energy, guaranteeing the supply of electricity 24 hours a day thanks to its responsible use.
The house is heated in winter with a biomass system. The heat is distributed throughout all the rooms from a large stove, located in the dining room, which we feed exclusively with organic matter derived from our agricultural activity on the farm (olive pits, almond shells, vine pruning remains...) or with pellets.
The two living rooms also have wood-burning fireplaces in which we only burn wood from the sustainable use of our trees.
Our water supply comes from a well that collects a stream of natural underground water, formed by the accumulation of rainwater, which flows in the subsoil of the area.
Water is an essential resource, necessary for life, and limited, so we must be respectful with its consumption, avoiding its waste as much as possible.
The furniture and decoration of the house are mainly made up of old pieces and elements from La Masía that have been carefully restored by us and transformed to give them a new use, or from the recycling and reconditioning of second-hand furniture for its use and reuse.
