About us

Hello,

We are Manuel and Iluminada, what is now called "neo-rural" or "new settlers", who changed living and working in the centre of Barcelona city for an isolated masía in the middle of nature.

In 2009 we bought, with great enthusiasm, a masía in Arens de Lledó (Teruel), in the incredible region of Matarraña, to start a new life, changing the rush, schedule and noise, for tranquillity, sunlight, the sound of silence... for working and living in a different way, in the countryside.

From then on, every weekend we changed our shoes for trainers, our suit for comfortable clothes, and dedicated ourselves to renovating the masía, taking advantage of and giving new uses to old utensils, restoring furniture, replacing fallen stones, imagining possibilities, little by little shaping our project for the future... until we decided to take the definitive leap to that new dream life, a healthy, sustainable and natural life.

After so much work and so much enthusiasm, the time has finally come, we want to share our project with you, encourage you to visit us and go from being mere spectators of nature to feeling and being part of it, connecting with the environment to rediscover values and traditions that we thought were forgotten but that still remain in our rural world...
